Who we are

What we collect
- Enquiries: when you use a form on this website we collect the details you give us, such as your name, phone number, email address, postcode, organisation and a description of your project.
- Phone, email and WhatsApp: if you contact us directly we keep the details and messages you send.
- Customers: if we carry out work for you we keep the information needed to quote, deliver and invoice the job, such as your address and contact details.
- Website use: basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type is processed by our hosting and security services to run and protect the site.
How we use it and why
- To reply to your enquiry, arrange a site visit and prepare a quote (steps taken at your request before entering into a contract).
- To carry out and manage building work we have agreed with you (performance of a contract).
- To keep business, tax and insurance records (legal obligation).
- To keep the website secure and stop spam (our legitimate interests).
We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
Who we share it with
Only where needed to run the business: our website host, email provider and IT services; professionals working on your project such as architects, engineers and building control, with your knowledge; and, for insurance work, the insurer or loss adjuster handling the claim. If you contact us through WhatsApp, that message is handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under their own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to two years and then deleted. Records for completed jobs are kept for as long as we need them for warranty, insurance, legal and tax purposes, normally up to seven years.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, or ask us to transfer it. Email mail@crosbiebuilders.co.uk and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
