01The brief

The client wanted to turn a sloping, uninsulated garage into a usable, cosy living space with a large oak bay window that looks like it has always been part of the house.

02What we did

Moved a doorway and built a new dividing wall to create a utility area at the back
Remodelled the kitchen to give access to the new room
Insulated the floor and roof
Made a solid oak subframe for the new windows to match the existing house
Sourced matching bricks to build the bay window

03The result

A warm, comfortable snug, with a new utility area behind it and a bay window that matches the rest of the house.
